I have never really understood the term "American."🤷‍♂️I suppose it gets lost due to cultural differences.

I really wish Peltz would've won. I've been tracking Bob's decisions ever since being CEO. Some ok decisions but the majority bad and think they would've been ok and potentially better with literally ANYONE else. He's not an idea's man or a futurist and those were the people that made this company better. He's too tv/film driven with no real innovative ideas nor fosters a team capable of what Disney's history and potential were. I would welcome to be proven wrong. Remember the leap that was Alien Encounter? Yea, that mess was terrifying but that was a GOOD ride and risk that we are all very privileged to have experienced. Bob would NEVER hear that idea out. That's the problem here. He's an "IP, kids like her, kids like this, kids like that," type of guy. Missing the target audience that are their parents that have to want to be enthusiastic about buying them these experiences. TBA is not something I'm interested in having my daughter's first flume ride. I rather take her to Tokyo to ride the best one on earth, as of now.

And here I was hoping for, at the very least, coherence!

My main objection to the initial retheme announcement was that Splash was about as good as it gets, so the best case scenario would that Disney sinks all this time and money into a ride that is just as good as its predecessor, instead of investing in a real upgrade elsewhere. As more and more info came out about TBA over the years, I was increasingly optimistic that we would at least be getting something approaching that best case scenario. The POV shatters all of that optimism. TBA is clearly a substantial downgrade from Splash. It still seems like a very good ride (which was almost guaranteed to be true), but it’s not the 10/10 that we had before. Maybe a 7.5

Honestly, Josh is a puppet and he's trying to get the CEO job. So whatever Bob says he does. Bob will probably get rid of him and blame everything on him after this gathers a lot of attention but let's be real on who the real person is making these decisions. Imo

The real question here is… Given the failures of: - Harmonious - Galactic Starcruiser - WDW’s 50th Anniversary - Tiana’s Bayou Adventure How much longer will D’Amaro be around? He’s more than a little overdue for the “Find Out” part of FAFO.

I frequent some VERY progressive forums (and I myself am on that side of the aisle) with a heavy skew towards Gen Z and young millennials. One of which has a lot of Disney fans and made a topic on this POV video. Even they are very meh to disappointed with this ride. Lots of complaining about it being boring, poorly written story, too many empty stretches of nothing, zero tension, doesn't fit with the drops (especially the big one), no Dr Facilier etc etc. Basically the exact same sort of neutral complaints most people here and elsewhere are making. I could give a link, but it's liable to be deleted by a mod due to the website and comments being very political (with its slant being far left).

Went back and read the original official description: Tiana wants to give a big thanks to her family and friends and the entire community for all the support they’ve given her by throwing an amazing party during Mardi Gras season. Is it ever made clear she’s about to throw a big Mardi Gras party? When it turns out there’s been a bit of a mix-up with the party preparations, Tiana invites us to meet her at Tiana’s Foods to help with the missing ingredient for the party. Did we settle on what the missing ingredient is? Is it the critter band? When we arrive, we may see that Tiana spruced up the company’s facilities with vibrant art from local artists. Food for the party is being prepared and beignets are being loaded into crates for the celebration. All kinds of preparations are underway for the journey into the bayou with Tiana, I didn’t get the sense I was traveling with Tiana, so much as occasionally bumping into her as she would magically warp ahead of us. along with new and familiar friends from the animated film.

First of all Disney doesn't have to be only for kids, and I never understood why adults can't find things like an entire planet with floating mountains etc to be awesome. Are we not allowed to have fun? lol Come on :P Second of all we shouldn't be encouraging bad behavior like short attention spans
